Default " species at risk " area

came across this while out on a bike ride
it's a fairly small area just recently fenced off alongside a highway
    ( 1/2 mile long by 1/4 mile at it's widest )
i'm assuming these houses inside the fence were bought by MTO
there is one house that the fencing went around the property perimeter

Maybe it's a compound to save mankind. He's fairly bent on becoming a species at risk...

It appears that in some areas that humans are the species at risk. I wonder if the MTO will strive to protect them?

A few of the state parks around here, namely Kolomoki Mounds, has protected endangered species. While they haven't set up chain link fences, they have put up signs telling about the plants.
I think it's great that the government is taking an interest in protecting such things. I wish I saw more of this kind of action.

I'm pretty sure Humans are an invasive species. Not very rare around here.. maybe up in Sourdough's area, but not around here.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. Helen Keller

    Snippet,

Species at Risk - MTO worked with the Ministry of Natural Resources to develop a plan to relocate individuals of one species at risk that will be displaced by the initial construction contract to a new habitat. The goal is to provide improved and protected habitat for this species to thrive and multiply.

Property Acquisition - The ministry has invested nearly $125 million in helping over 350 property owners through the property acquisition process so far and is working with over 200 property owners today. The ministry is continuing to negotiate and work toward amicable agreements with property owners.

It must be the homes of families...complete with mother, father, and children,...that have respect for others, take responsibility for themselves, and provide for their own needs.

Maybe they put up the fence to protect species outside the fence.
