Photo question

I have honestly tried to figure this out & failed miserably. Okay, I have pictures of my son in his mountain man coyote hat that I would like to share as so many of you helped me find it for his Christmas. Also...BIG ANNOUNCEMENT...I have just gotten a new puppy. Hairie is a 6 1/2 week old Great Pyrenees and he is wonderful, so I must show him off. Okay, puppy pictures are mostly on my cell phone and up/down/whatever loaded onto a site somewhere in cyberspace so I can send them to an e-mail address. The other pictures are on my camera which I can figure out how to attach to my computer and send. HA! Maybe I can. Maybe I can't but I have a grandson who can. Point of all my gibberish is, how do I do this?. Please Please keep instructions simple or maybe there is a simple instruction on the site that I couldn't find. Thank you every so much. LindyLu

You should have a patch cord with your camera that allows you to connect it to the computer. Generally a USB plug on one end. It looks like this:

Guests can not see images in the messages. Please register in the forum.

You may also have received a cd or dvd with your camera that contains software. However, once you plug your camera into the computer, your computer should see it as another drive. Then you can use the link above.

By the way, that cord above is the same as many cellphones use for power cords. Cell phone manufacturers are moving to a new standard of cell phone cord. It happens to be the little end of the cord above called a micro USB connector. All cellphones are supposed to be so equipped no later than 2012. I'm sure we'll see it much sooner. While on the subject, user manuals are also supposed to be discontinued with the manual directly on the electronic unit. That should save a tree or two.

LindyLu - how old is your computer? Many of the newer ones have a slot that will accept the memory card from your camera. If it does, then usually no special software is required.
