Just made a big huge #2 meat loaf. It should last for the week.

Broccoli, carrots and mashed cauliflower too.

    Good supper!
If you didn't bring jerky what did I just eat?

One of my late wife's favorite meals was left over meat loaf sandwiches on toasted bread with spiced, baked potato wedges.

When the boys were in the Marine Corps we developed a tradition that on their arrival home on leave or from deployments the first meal they got was meat loaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans.

I have been forced to drop the potatoes from the menu, but the meat loaf is as good as it ever was.

Man I haven't had a meatloaf sandwich in years. That's on the list for this summer. We won't have elec. so I'll have to learn to bake it in a DO. No problem.

I'm eating left over shrimp etouffee right now.

My wife didn't like meat loaf so I was relegated to meat loaf when I fixed it. I get it more now than the whole time we were married. Love me some meatloaf!

No offense to Bladesong but when did mac and cheese become a main course? It has and will always be a side dish to me.
    Just sayin'.

When my kids were little they would beg to differ. I think kids can live for weeks on mac and cheese just like college kids can live on ramen noodles and cold pizza for weeks on end. (chuckle)

But that not really mac and cheese is it? It's more like mac and cheese whiz. Not that there anything wrong with cheese whiz except for ruining a perfectly good cheesesteak with it. But that's a Philly thing as far as I know.
I was spoiled at a young age by the family women folk who competed with one another to make the best macaroni and cheese dish. At least it seemed that way to me.
I still do ramen but I like the Yakasobo noodles with the veg and flavor packs.
To return to the OT I may make some chili tonight.
I will now crawl back underneath my rock.

The good news is if you get a case of foot fungus you can always use it to sprinkle on your foot.

Works the same for your kid's diaper rash.

It is a good idea to sprinkle it before water is added and cooked, other wise it gets a wee bit messy.

I've changed a LOT of messy diapers thank you. Mack and cheese would have a breeze to clean up. I was the puke guy at our house. My wife was the diaper gal. We each have our strengths and weaknesses in this life.

How did this thread go from food to dirty diapers and vomit? I guess not having kids makes me a little ignorant. I have never and will never change a dirty diaper...

...I gave up Kraft mac and cheese but still love Ramen noodles.

I often add something to the Mac & cheese. Ham, hamburger, bacon or tuna. One Irish pub in Boston had it with lobster. The wife adds other cheeses and then broils it for a firm top. Good stuff!
