    Default Fire steel Handle.....

While I was replacing a battery in a clock, I was using one of them cheapy dollar store precision screwdriver kits ( 6 screwdrivers for a buck) like this.

So I thought this would make a great handle for a fire steel rod,

So I heated up the screwdriver and pulled it from the plastic handle, surprisingly the fire steel was the same diamater as the driver shaft.

I epoxied about 3/8 of an inch into the handle and now ive got a nice handle on my fire steel.

Yeah, but now what are you gonna do when you need a screw driver? Didn't think of that did you?

Very nice. Thinking outside the box is a great survival skill.

I'm following suit with Welderguy and putting on a new handle. MMmm, it feels good.
