Thanks guys! I'll post pics as I finish them. I profiled the 3 stainless ones this afternoon. I have one leather stacked handle to forge and a folder. I'll save the folder for last because they are a pain. I've only been doing one ar two a week for quite a while now and this was a surprise!

You know, now that I know that you make and sell knives, I'm gonna have to see some of your work. My husband has been wanting to get a second knife for our hiking trips. (his military issue is a great knife, I just don't know that it's the best for what we would use it as.) Wish I would have asked you about that BEFORE I bought my fist one! LOL!

    Default quick update

Ok, the stainless knives are nearly done now. I plan to sandblast the blades and guards so I left them at a 80 grit finish. The funny looking blob on the bench is a piece of cable I forged into a billet and will make the folder blade from it. That is next week's knife...along with the leather handled utility.

These are all CPM S30V steel. The brass guard and the one with no guard are both cocobola and the stainless guard is bocote.

I was given a small piece of bocote and cocobola today - plus some oak and cherry. I might have to take a break from the micarta.
