    Default Fan Palm Cordage

We’ve got a couple of Fan Palms (not sure of exact variety) in the yard. The leaf clusters would make a great covering for a debris shelter. Today I made some thin cordage from the leaves. I’ll give it a weight test after it dries out. OK YCC – your turn.

Yeah, they're calling for ice on Friday followed by 4-8 inches. And he's playing with grass! Nice job, by the way.

really nice job crash. I been working long days this week to try to beat the rain coming today. I'll find something around here to twist up this evening. Those look like saw palmettos to me. tons of the stuff around here. good thatching on a debris hut. looks like they make their own bindings too!

The leaves are similar to the palmetto, but the branches have very sharp spikes on them. They could easily be fashioned into a field expedient weapon.
