Thread: urban survival

    Default urban survival

I worked with a guy last week and he told me about an incident that happened to him and I remembered a similar incident.

This guy said a few years ago, while he was in Tampa, he stopped at strip mall. While walking in, he noticed this woman beating a child and thought it was "over the top" so, he stopped. He said, she then started yelling at him and before he knew it he was surrounded by about 6 teens. He estimated their ages to be 15 to 19 years. He said he got in a couple of hits but, they beat him up pretty bad.

Story #2: Last spring or early summer at a local amusement park a family was exiting when the daughter was inappropriatley touched by a young stranger and the father stepped-in to stop the behavior. The young stranger made a phone call and a large number of teens put the father in the hospital. The father ended up with brain damage.

A couple of observations. No one helped. You better have a plan ( like get your back against a car or wall and find a weapon). You're fighting for your life so, don't be nice.

Just thought I'd pass these along so that you can be prepared.

Milwaukee, It's out of control. I've heard a couple of stories and I've thought they should elect Gulliani. It's time to clean house.

    Always a good reminder!

Even though things have radically improved in NYC since we got here 20 years ago, this story is never far from my mind:

I am vigilant at all times and I don't take any chances.
And if I have to act, I'm prepared.

If you have to ,or decide to act. Be swift, be with out mercy and disengage as soon aspossible.

It's getting so we have almost as many feral kids on the street as feral pets. Quite frankly, I would treat them the same.
    I know what hunts you.

    "feral kids" - that's a good discription!

It all sounds great until those 9 (the ONLY 9) really start getting on you last nerve.

On average I will see one of my neighbors maybe every two weeks. Some I see once per year. We have way more bears than humans.

Nothing new there. Depend on number 1 and that's it. Hit first, fast and disable. Lots of us have been trained and just like riding a bicycle it comes back. They expect you to wait, use your fist or something dumb. A gentle finger in the eye works wonders and I would never go without a walking stick or a cane that I don't need. Very effective where a handgun is not an option.
Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he's too old
to fight... he'll just kill you.
