An excellent rifle. I've got a couple of them - very reliable and accurate. One good type of scope is a Scout Scope on quick release scope rings.
Be sure to get a good pile of high quality...
I'd say a good start might be:
.22lr rifle, perhaps bolt action
.30 cal type rifle, maybe a .308, 30-30 or even a 7.62 x 39 (I'd go with a .308)
12-gauge shotgun
handgun of common caliber such...
30-30 would be pretty underpowered for a large brown bear. Even a .308 may not be a great choice.
