Tried the Leatherman, much prefer the Gerber 400 model.

My choice is Tapco's excellent M-4 type stock, extended mag-release, a synthetic bolt-stop-pin and a good 3-9x scope.
Having used both Rugers for over 40 years, in a survival situation I'd take the 10/22 rifle every time.
A knife for survival means your life, buy the BEST you can afford. Benchmade, RAT survival or Falkniven all make great sheath knives.
A smaller super-sharp folder is very useful, like Spyderco's...
I put a Cold-Steel Bushman on my walking staff (it's legal here in WA State). Then covered that end with findged leather, to look "native" ;)
And the Sheeple are running out of sand to hide their heads under.
Don't forget to put plastic trash-bags in one, for a Porta-Potty.
