Interesting little rifle.
What kind of loads are you running thru it?
Also, your issue may actually be parallax from the red-dot scope. How did it shoot with iron sights?

If I was of a mind to get a really powerful rifle, I'd save my pennies and buy an express rifle.
I don't know what I'd shoot with it, but I'd love to have a Purdy or Holland double in 400 nitro...
With my full-house loads in 45-70, I can only fire about a dozen rounds and I'm done for the day.
And I'm not particularly recoil sensitive.
That rifle is death at one end, and hospitalization at...
Hah!
Found a pic of the solar power station:

So essentially you built a hybrid car. :)
Looks like a pretty cool setup. You need some more batteries tho (and damn are Marine batteries expensive!)
I built a solar powered version of that getup,...
If I can't kill it with my 45-70, then it'll probly require wooden stakes and some holy water.
400grain lead solids. I can kill anything on the North American continent.
If that don't get it,...
Have bought 3 Mosins over the years, paid less than $150 for all of them together.
Such a crude little weapon, but the price was right. Besides, the top 10 snipers of all time shot Mosins.
I used to have one of those for summer camping. They have a flap that is used when rolling them up that is particularly handy as a face shield in the morning. Helps to pull that flap over your face...
Very true. Cotton will not break down, but it works best when it is fluffy and airy. Once it takes on long term compression it will be less fluffy, and less effective as a result.
Some of you...

When I camp in AZ I only treat the water if it is standing. So long as the water is flowing, even subterranean flow thru the sand process, I drink it untreated. After 4 years in Mexico, rabies,...
Actually it is usually the downhill portion oof the climb that most tears up my feet. I can climb 7000 feet, from Turkey Creek to Manning in a single day with a 90lb ruck, no problem. But coming...
I have used my Catoma down to -20. That's pretty wintery. Sure, it won't do Everest basecamp, but that's just an absurd argument you threw out there to cover the other absurd argument you posted...
Wolf used to laquer their cases as well but stopped doing it to 556 because of the buildup in the chamber (AKs don't care about the laquer). Like I said, run a wire brush thru the chamber, get that...
I dunno about hunting anything that big, but I have always wanted to pig hunt Arkansas razorbacks with a spear. They actually have a season, or did. Kill a pig with a sharp stick. Yeah, that'd be...
Before I blamed the ammo I'd run a good stiff wire brush through that chamber a few times. Make sure you don;t have leading or buildup texturing the lining.
Also look at your extractor, it could...
I would describe it as meh.
For our bugout I actually have multiple layers.
1) We bug-in. Essentially we avoid the pitfalls of the highway by staying home and eating the neighbors, starting with that little dog.
2) I have...
My brother has one of those, same model. Good for 3 seasons. We took it on a wet trip once and it held up fine. Steady drizzle for 2 days. Eureka makes okay tents as long as you don't take them...
What are you talking about? 4 season tents are not as good in the other 3 seasons? Get outta here with that. My Catoma works great any time of year, and the rainfly goes clear to the ground. The...
Y'know I see a lotta guys go out and buy a hundred dollar sleeping bag (or more) and turn around and ruin the thing. Worse yet, they don;t ruin it camping, they ruin it during their time at home.

more snow in the Catoma. Sealed up the tent holds about 53 degrees when you are out of your sleeping bag. Short sleeve weather in 5 feet of snow.11033
Hello from Calizona
Here is my old Condor in the snow. Dunno if they still make tents, 4 season anyhow.
Get a 4 season tent
get twice the space needed (get a 2 man tent for one man)
Man up about the extra weight...
