Soaking softens the outer membrane on the bean. You can cut your cooking time by about 70% if you soak them....

Dink - I think you're wasting your time on the baking soda and vinegar (never put the two in a closed container. It can explode!). Beans cause gas because they form a large chain sugar once the body...
