Does it matter what kind of sugar you use? Because my instinct is saying brown sugar. Also, do you think that would work in the slow cooker? It'd help to save on electricity versus having the oven...
I've been looking for good recipes for dried beans as well...does anybody have one that doesn't involve pork?
