I seen your post on another survival forum. Are you going to show us how to make one? I can see many a purpose to know this.
Thanks

Now I remember who made those sliding stock carbines. It was Plainfield Machine Corp.. They used to make carbines out of surplus carbine parts they bought form Uncle Sam from 1951 to 1978.
Here is a...
Thanks. The stock on the pistol had been "worked on" by previous owners so painting it, I felt, was a viable option.
I had a .30 Carbine Blackhawk. Man was that thing LOUD!. I did handload some...
randyt, I can't remember who made that collapsing wire stock but, I can remember seeing it advertised years ago in the back of gun magazines. I always thought they looked cool.
Here are some of my...
Here is a pic of one of mine in a modified swiss stove. I had to open it up quite a bit to fit the can in and get enough air to the burner.

Great advise hunter.
Also, HEET is methanol and you want to keep it away from the things that will touch food plus, never burn it indoors without sustantial ventilation. They should not be used as...
(Dang it, I mis-spelled except) Thanks, I don't know how big of a pot you think that you will need but, I use the heck out of a standard GI canteen cup and the mess kit itself for cooking pots. If...

Not my main or preferred way to cook. Just another way.
I use "HEET" as fuel and everything (excapt the fuel) fits neatly into a British Surplus mess kit....
After living in a VN village and fleeing to the jungle, other than lack of other people, their lifestyle probably didn't change all that much. The old man, more than likely, lived a simple exsistance...
Thanks, I tried to fit it into a space that would otherwise, not be used. I could have got it a little closer to the wall if I had used a "cleat" made from a 1"x4" instead of a 2"x4". But, it doesn't...

It holds 84 standard size vegetable cans. It will hold smaller soup cans too.

You forgot about Ebay and the internet in general. I am top heavy on sandstone also so, I have to buy a lot of stone for knapping. Or, pick it when I go back to Wyoming to visit my friends.

Here is a pic of a reproduction Obsidian Paleo knife hafted onto a wood handle. If you learn how to knap you could make one of these with flint, chert or broken glass.
Also, here is a link to...
Thanks hunter.

Not trying to sound like a smart butt but, is Heritage seeds the same as Heirloom seeds? Perhaps a geographical vernacular?

Yep, the oil filter suppressor sounds good if you say it fast but,... Here is the rest of the story. If you purchase one of these that does not mean that you can just run down to NAPA and buy more...

It could be a Topper. My Dad had a Topper that started life as a .22 Hornet and somewhere along the way got re-chambered to a .219 Zipper. I wish I knew what happened to the gun.

edit:...
Thanks. One down and five to go. Our limit is six.

I know that I am resurrecting an old thread but, here is what my NEF .22 Hornet got me last Sunday with one shot. I have killed many deer with it so far.
