There are lots of plants that will grow just fine even with temperatures dropping to the low 20s. I grow a wide variety of plants in the fall and winter, and I have seen one night drop to 18 Degrees...

There really aren't many places close to us where I can forage for wild edibles. I'd have to travel up to the foot hills or the Sierras. I don't have a car, so that isn't an option.
