Yes,......I did score the bone prior to canning.....and I added alittle-bit of catsup to it along
with the salt & vinegar for visual enhancement...looks good enough to eat..................BH51
For what it's worth,.....I canned some carp (fish) just the other day....First ever....Turned out
pretty good....Did 'em up in pint jars.....Love my pressure...
My camo over'alls have seen better days..."dad'gum barbed-wire fences"....
They so rag'ed-out, I'm scared to wash'em...Fact is,..I figure they just broke-in
good......got'em on right...
.......Wood's ear faired best as did puff'balls but I've yet to find any hen-of-the-woods.........
One of my favorites, "porcini" failed to make a good show as conditions were not favorable.......
Here in West Tennessee,...primarily seasoned red & white oak, wild pecan and hickory. Some will burn
black and honey locust...and some will burn...
................Ive used them for 'bout 30 years now..........IMO they are far better than trot-lines or jugs for cat'fish'n...
Generally if live minnows are used as bait...can catch a wider variety...
....With the unpredicatable weather we git here in West Tennessee, we are subject to
have a mild winter and raise vine'ripe tomatoes past Christmas...I've had'em freeze rock-
hard big as a baseball...

Minnows, worms or fatty chicken skin, like you strip from chicken thighs & legs, stays on the hook best
and hooks with some'thin on'em works better than hooks with nothin' on'em....I wouldn't noodle...
Cordless drill, come'a-long, pliers and most importantly, "a roll of bailing wire".............BH51...

I've a number of brushes with twisters in my day, and seen them peel
pavement off'n highways...no matter what ya do for a shelter, I figure
a tractor/ hydrolic jack and an air-horn useful...

Red breed, as they were the best layers I've ever...
I've got it growing in the shade of a heavily wooded hedge'row on the farm...
It is the spotted touch-me-not and produces the tiny orange pitcher-like flower...
