Sounds like a good weekend project to me!
Hunter, you think you can get someone to fit you a Handi barrell that'll shoot that??
Hunter, I've got a derringer chambered in .410/.45LC. That thing has virtually no handle and a bunch of kick (depending on the load), but I do LOVE to shoot it. Kicks and giggles, gentlemen. Kicks...
Appreciate the input KYRat!! I'll most likely start with the single stage and go from there.
I've been looking at the Lee's all day, haha! Would probably go with the single stage to start with. Might have to start there. Just want to start with loading .223 and move forward from there. ...
KYRat, what would be your advice for someone who wants to get into reloading? I've never done any reloading before, but would like to start.
My guess was going to be .22's as well! But hey, good score indeed!
Hunter, I looked into the same thing yesterday. Noticed no official announcement on the webpage. Wondering when that's going to come...
KYRat, I'm hoping both that that rumor is true, and that...
True story. I didn't figure it would actually be feasible, but I thought "hey, that's an idea worth at least asking someone who knows their way around an H&R."
Gotcha. Well crap, there goes that idea. Haha! Oh well, better safe than handless...
If I got an H&R Parder in .410, single shot, you think I'd be able to get it reamed and rifled to shoot .460, .454, .45LC?
THAT'S the important part! Have to round out the collection!
Yeah. Personally I'd have those on hand for if I decided to go out and might run into a hog or something similar. If I lived up in the NW, bear or sasquatch (though some believe we have them here...
Yeah, I see what you're saying there about breach diameter and length, I was just concerned about the difference in chamber pressures between the rounds. But thinking on it now, if the barrel has...
I do like the idea of being able to fire those 3 calibers through one barrel. I'm all about items that can be as variably usable as possible. And those three would be choice, for sure. There's a...
You sure the reamed out .45LC barrel can handle the chamber pressures of .460 or .454? I'd almost be leery of firing either of those, as they're pretty high-powered rounds.
.45LC Max pressure:...
For the Handi? To shoot all those calibers? Get it from someone on GBO?
That's better than the Raging Judge! Would you be able to put .410 in it as well?
Hahaha, that would work as well.
That would have been a good deal. Could have gotten your .444 for $75!!
Gotcha. Yeah, I would love to have one in .454. Would actually prefer that over the .444 Marlin.
I wanted Handis in .500 S&W, .444 Marlin, .204 Ruger, .270 Win, and just about everything else over time. I'm REALLY hoping they replace the BAP with a similar program with higher tolerances, so the...
Haha, yeah, Hunter, I prefer the Big Mother******* Gun terminology myself.
Randy, I like that Safety Harbour upper. Especially the mag-fed. Figure if I did ever end up getting one, I'd probably...
Haha, want it BECAUSE I'm crazy, basically.
Saw a video of a guy shooting one off-hand. Brought his front foot off the ground.
Yeah, there's the Tactilite, the Ferret 50, Safety Harbor has a mag-fed, bolt action upper.
If I had the disposable income for it (from what I've seen, they range from about $1400 to $2000), I'd...
I was wondering if anyone here has ever shot or otherwise has any experience with an AR-15 upper chambered in .50BMG? I've seen some around online, but haven't come across one in person. Thoughts?
