I dig how simple ESEE did the Laser Strike. It has milled slot in the handle holds a ferro/magnesium rod and a couple tinders. Makes a good backup fire kit.

I would say my favorite is my 3 ruger 10/22s. I swap parts between them all the time so they are kinda one rifle system.
I agree though.. To many to choose from. I like them all, and miss all...
Haha.. Ya studying was never one of my strong points.
I've made a quite a few friction fires and more than a few spark fires... Honestly I don't think I could trust my life to anything less than a sparking device, and natural fatwood to get fire started.
