Well, I do agree with you guys that a telephoto lens (and bear spray) plus respect for wildlife would have gone a long way to prevent these two deaths from occuring.
I also find it in extremly bad...
I take it you mean that crocs don't consider humans a general food item? Because any animal, from insects to brids to mammals, will act agressively towards people given the "right" circumstances.
...
Interesting, thanks for the info :)
Somebody else's, though?
I hear rats can get pretty big, though :innocent: And there's lots of 'em.
Never done this or seen it - don't you end up with lots of dirt and ashes on your meat that way? Do you end up having to cut off the dirty and burned outside?
Geez, now I sound like a fussy eater...
Oh, okay! The Coolpix cameras are pretty good, I heard.
Yeah, that sure is a stupid spot. I guess the more the area gets moved or compressed, the more the venom spreads. Noticed that my finger didn't take too kindly to doing laundry and stacking firewood...
Nice! Almost looks like fall on the first picture. Do you have a DSLR? And if so, what model? Are you happy with it?
Excellent! That was my experience with our ducks, too. Also a good reason to look into keeping breeds that aren't available locally, but still a good choice for the area - might make it easier to...
Maybe as far as pain relief goes, I don't think taking willow internally would make a swelling go down, though. I take it you haven't taken the opportunity you had to try a different cure on each bee...
I was thinking that too. Also found out why the hydrocortisone ointment didn't do a thing: it ran off two years ago :) Not a problem that happens with willows! They stay right where they are.
But that's what I'm on the forum for
So is that all twelve of you in the bright plastic suits in the pictures or where did they all spring from?
But it's chockfull of people :noway:
Ah yes, life on the Wet Coast :D
That would be nice, but I doubt it. We still have to earn an income here and for example, in May the paper I used to write for laid off half of its staff, including me. So there went 95% of my income...
Nice! Also gives the impression that you're cutting your firewood with a hand saw :whistling:
CW, I mostly agree with what you're saying here.
I wrote my previous post to clarify that going to live and make an actual home out in the bush is not rocket science or out of reach of the average...
Teehee - wonder how they managed to get in there? But a sow showing her cubs to raid garbage bins - that may not have a happy ending in the long run.
I'm only familiar with wild roses and yes, that's what you've got there. Up here in the Yukon the fruit are just forming now, so if you're a good ways south of here, they may well be ripening already...
Oh I know and totally agree.
Just couldn't keep my mouth shut about the comparison to Dick Proennecke and making a home in the woods.
I'm totally thrilled at how good this works! Got stung by a bee yesterday, in the soft area between my pinkie and ringfinger. I chewed up a few young willow leaves and spat them on there to act as a...
I don't think so. It honestly is not a big deal to build a cabin and furniture, and I don't understand this myth about it being particularly difficult in Alaska. In the winter, you just put more...
