Looks like Rick had the last word...or, wait, I guess I did.
Glock 17 fits like a glove too
Great posts, glad to hear there is still some healthy respect for the 9 here.
Mostly dead is slightly alive :eyepoke::laugh:
I'd have no problems hunting with a 9mm carbine. Its balistics are similar to a .357 with a 16" barrel.
Had one. One word of advice...never shoot it without hearing protection. One shot at a deer from my 454 SRH many years ago and I still have severe ringing in my left ear.
Update: After a lot of shooting with my 92FS, I can easily say it is my most accurate and reliable pistol. It is now my favorite 9mm.

[Indeed. Just...
Some pistol penetration data...a carbine should penetrate even further.

Consider the light weight of a folding 9mm carbine with a 16" barrel to give the more accuracy/velocity/power.

That reminds me, I used to have a multi tool in there....hmmm, wonder where I left it.:blushing:
Guys, what is in your DAILY use bag (man purse or satchel or whatever you call it) I carry a Maxpedition Fatboy or sometimes a Jumbo Versipak everyday to and from work loaded with my stuff. I'm...
Read HTSTEOTWAWKI first, and found it very helpful in getting organized. A lot of useful information. You'd have to be very wealthy to implement all of it. Just pick and choose like mentioned...
Just finished reading it. Packed with good information, some that I hope I never have to use. Once I started reading, I could hardly put it down. I plan to buy a couple of copies for friends.
I probably should "reel myself in" a little and focus on more conventional "protestors and activists". I think I'll focus my argument on "unjust laws". Found a quote from Dr. MLK
"We must...
Sarky, I'm with you that what that guy did was....well....evil, but I think Rick does have a good point or question here.
Who determines what is 'justifiable' when breaking the law?
Pal334, I'm simply exploring the subject...its' extremes and hypotheticals. I don't condone violence, and the topic doesn't ask when is violence acceptable. It simply asks when is is justifiable to...
So while Ken fights for your rights, you are technically in violation of the new law, so you either protest and break the law, or turn your guns over and hope that Ken wins them back. Which do you...
What if the government passed a law that said you can only have 1 child, and now your wife is pregnant? Your child will need to be aborted per the population reduction act. Fleeing the country...
But sometimes you don't have much choice whether to 'stay within the law'. Sometimes laws are passed that instantly make you or me an instant violator or felon. What if the government says everyone...
Yep, G8 vs Tea Parties. Big difference. I'm a peaceful tea partier myself.
Patriots or traitors, I guess it depends on which side you are on.
All good points!
Thanks. So TJ obviously believed that laws might need to be broken again some day to restore our liberty.
