I made some years ago from a recipe in a readers digest book on back to basics.
The recipe said it was an old thirst quencher from the days of hot farm and field work.

I thought I'd post a couple of pics of the axe I've been working on.
Saw blade steel, .190" thick approx. cut out and ground with angle grinder.
As of now its heat treated and waiting for...
I like it a lot, I'll think I will try one but probably grind one out. laid off right now so I should do something.
