Congrats......50 cal?
Have fun.
Yup. 50. The reviews and videos look good. We'll see.
I might have to look at the cva scout one day.
Do the barrels interchange?
The barrels are not advertised as interchangeable.
They have a very limited caliber selection.
They are not cheap either. You can buy a real rifle for the same price.

Legally no.
From what I've read they have a couple things going for them. Begara barrels and a nice trigger. It's all mechanics after that.
I don't think there is anything in the law about changing barrels on a CVA rifle.
Once you remove the interchangeable barrel feature from the mix the system has no other attributes that would make it superior to any bolt action rifle of the same price.
At least the Rossi system was cheap enough that you could buy an entire three barrel kit, sell the frame and shotgun barrel and get the rifle barrels you wanted while recovering part of the expense.
Really? So it'd be ok to buy a muzzle loader and change the barrel to a center fire? Mmmm, nope. Maybe put a pistol barrel on a rifle stock? Mmmm, nope.
Custom gun makers use the begara barrels. Shilen set up the begara factory. He endorses begara. The triggers are way superior to any rifle in the same price catagory until you get in the $700 price range.
But hey, we hear your disapproval. That works for me.
Just advice.....you want what you want......Congrats again.
Lol. It wasn't.
Just possibility an option for the now defunct H&R SS's
I thought you were speaking of the Scout Centerfire. That was what the thread had gravitated to, you took it there yourself.
Breakdown in-line BP guns, pistol or rifle, do nothing for me so you can do what you want with them.
You need to check the triggers on some of the economy centerfire rifles out there Rebel.
I guess I never gave a thought that a BP pistol....or for that matter, a rifle,.... could be purchased a with out a complete background check as a metallic cartridge needs....
Then convert to center fire buy adding a barrel........?
Good point.....
In this case a BP pistol is what you wanted in the first place, right?
Think I said: I'd check out the scout.
To buy a t/c encore even if it's bp you'll be doing paperwork.
I hear ya.
I guess the one thing I like about break action rifles is the ability to break down into a packable size. The down side for me is that it's a single shot unless you're willing to spend the big money.
