Hello Community! New member here looking forward to learning.
Hey" everyone i am new to the forum and i will not pretend to be a person in a position to give expert advice. With that said i will give a few details of myself.
I am 38 years old caucasian male who is married and have a 10 year old son. My experience with the outdoors is very limited living here in mt prospect illinois (close to chicago) is not considered the middle of nowhere so i have to travel to enjoy the outdoors. I try to go camping 3 times a year and my favorite spot is along the mississippi river in the town of albany illinois right on the border of iowa. I do a lot of fishing while i camp and i know just how hard it is "roughing it" because when i get home from my little 3 day adventure i am exausted! so survivng for an extended amount of time would be hell, but if that ever happens i would want to know as much as i can about the subject and fell a little more confident about protecting and providing for my family. Any advice would be welcomed and even if it is something i heard before i fell it just refreshes my brain so bring it on i wont bite....
