I'm doing much better today. No surgeries. Baby steps.

I love it that those who are challenged have options to get out.
That walker is in the backyard. When I feel blue I just go out back or even look out a window at that walker. Count my blessings, be thankful I don't need it anymore, get out as much as I can.
There are two kinds of people in the world - people who say that there are two kinds of people and people who don't.
I was a rehab specialist for 20 years and I noticed that you could split people with the same disability at the same level into two groups. People from one group just gave up. People from the other group doggedly continued their lives in as much the same way as before the disability as closely as possible. Some even benefitted.
When I was a camp counselor at a camp for disabled people, a few of my fellow counselors were paraplegics, amputees, and the like - they were also gold metal Olympians.
