Looks pretty good. It says that some pages were omitted from the preview.....491 pages is a lot to preview - I wonder how many there are. Good stuff - thanks.
I run on to those previews every now and then. If anyone figures out how to save them to a file, let me know. That one looked pretty good. There a section on there about making your own back packs. Even one about packing a backpack out of your freshly killed deer!
As you know, I'm not a computer compatible kind of guy. How about just copy and paste to a Word file?
Rick, there is a free program called CutePDFWriter. It will act as a virtual printer, and save as a .pdf file. You click on File, then choose print, then choose from your print drop-down menu CutePDFWriter instead of your regular printer.
I actually have a copy of that book that my grandfather gave me. He said he got it when he was in his twenties or thirties (he is now 94). It is a great book, I have practically worn out the binding reading and rereading it.
GW - I thought I had some type of pdf writer on my desktop. I've done the print to thingy before and was hoping to do it on that book but no luck. I'll have to look into the software you mentioned. Thanks!!
I got this book and have had it for a while it is full of knowledge and the illustrations are entertaining . There is a strong Western/south western American Indian influence . This book is a joy to read.
Looks pretty interestin'. I might have to get that one. It seems to have a lot to do with buckskin clothes.
I found this book years ago in a used book store. Quite entertaining and typical of the outdoor oriented books put out in the 40's and 50's. Kind of equates Indians with the outdoors
