Hello Out There! *echos*
I tried copying and pasting the suggested introduction information but it just didn'lt sound right so, I'm just going to go at it on my own.
Hello, I'm new to this website and I'm enjoying perusing around. I don't know much about survival other than what I've picked here and there.
I know next to nothing about weapons of any kinds (my ex-boyfirend taught me how to shoot a gun... I hit the soccer ball target. That was about it for that expidition.).
I have been knitting for six years now. I also have a basic knowledge of natural dyes for fabrics (and skin!) and I can prep and spin my own fiber into yarn on a drop spindle.
I am just starting to get into wild edibles and want to learn more.
I love conneecting with anture, I'm sort of a hippie. I live in the northeastern part of the US and am eighteen years old.
How was that?

Hello! So nice to meet fellow hippies and foragers.

Welcome home. That was a fine intro.

Fine intro. Welcome
Spinning and knitting is a definitely good skill to have. Where do you get your fiber? Just wondering as there are lots of Alpacas being raised on farms around the "northeast" these days and I see quite a bit of the sheerings at local farmers markets. Some spun wool too.
Lots of wild edibles around here. But also a few dangerous plants. See if you can find a course at one of the botanical gardens so you can get a hands on as to what to avoid.

Welcome from the mystical land of New Jersey. I'm starting to read into wild edibles. Noticing plantain everywhere now that I know what it looks like.

We have a family friend who raises alpacas, I get a little from him from time to time. I also buy raw wool or yarn at local craft shows and the like. Sometimes I buy it online if someone points me in the direction of an indie company that I like the look of. I haven't done anything with wild edibles that I haven't learned from a friend or family member who knows what they're doing. Thanks for the advice. I'll look into botanical gardens for courses. Thanks of the welcome.

Me too! Its everywhere isn't it?

Welcome from Alaska. I'm kind of a hippie too.

You might be interested in the Northeast Alpaca Fiber Pool. They buy and sale alpaca fibers as well as completed clothing. You might contact them to see what their costs are for fiber or yarn.
