I recently picked up a shot gun. It's a husqvarna model 20, a bit dated for sure but it has steel barrels, made in the 1900s. It is in 12 ga 2.5 inch. The under lever isn't as handy as a tang lever but heck I'm having fun.

Michigan must be filled with those short chambered 12 gauge shotguns!
You have a dozen of them and I have not seen but half that number in my entire life.
I guess I'm just lucky that way have a 2.5 .410 too. I'm not sure if it's practical but have thought about lengthening the chambers on this one. Won't ever shoot a hot load but cheap field loads would be nice to shoot.
