Oh, my God. That is wicked bad! What are scales made of? Pine cone? Some sort of plant? Whatever it is, I love the look.

Yes its "stabilized pine cone" basically a pine cone set in stabilizing risen, then split down the middle, this time I turned the scales so the stem would be on the outside of the handle. I didn't make the scales I purchased them, I need to build a stabilizing system before I start doing that, which is on my long "to do list".
