I've used these things for years. They keep you toasty. I build mine in the fall with leaves and grass on the sides for insulation and cover with limbs and bark, then stash firewood, covered with a tarp, and covered with leaves and such to discuise it. Food is also stashed so when I snow shoe in, I just pack my sleeping bag and ground cloth, everything else is already there. I'm 67 and still doing it. talk about peace and quiet.:sailor:

Army made us do many silly things, one was to sleep in under just a poncho at 8f, not the best nights sleep.
