I'm back! Not sure for how long (hopefully for a loooong time!)
You can probably use an anonymous server such as: https://www.zend2.com/ You might have trouble with formatting text however.
I've heard a rumor that a lot of blocks can be circumvented by using Google Translate, and entering the url into the page's bar.
If you're blocked, they would be too. Most of the time IT isn't that selective. They set the firewall, and that's it. As for phones, you are supposed to have both hands working and paying attention to what those hands are doing. At least 4 times a year the boss has to put a note in with the paychecks that phone usage during work hours, unless it is an emergency, or you are expecting a baby, is just not allowed.
The kicker is that admin and IT kinda look the other way for employees with over 15 years of service and who don't abuse it.
That was the same with us. We were a Fortune 500 company but computer usage was monitored and you were not allowed to be surfing unless it was specifically job related. God help you if it was a porn site. You'd be looking for another job.
Where I work, the company blocks all the social media sites for the network computers. If you are caught with your phone out of your pocket you might get warned once, sent home the next time, and maybe asked if you really want to be working there the third time. The rule is, if tempted, keep it in your locker. It's become a major problem that at a company with about 100 guys, there are only 4 restroom stalls in the building - not enough to be redefined as phone booths. I could get on here from work, but I have a static IP at work. At least at home, it's fairly random. Occasionally. Just like the connection. Besides, my boss doesn't need to know I'm here either.
I'm surprised my school filters don't block this sight. If you type https:// instead of http:// it might let you through. It works here but I'm not sure if it will work for every firewall, but it's worth a shot
What to say, Mr.fixit The filters where I work kick me off of alot of sites but allows this one. My job allows me the time to post when not busy. Hang in there.
I find it's a challenge to fix anything whilst surfing LOL.
Maybe Mr. Fixit should work for you then. I mean, his name is Mr. Fixit. He should be create on repairs. You'll have to find a Mr. Buildit for new installs though.
I own a business and I don't even surf the web at work.
Hmm.. looks like I work for the best company..I am at work and surf 8 hrs a day.
LOL.....Sorry, but that is kinda funny.....
Yeah, that would be one I'd complain to my boss about (chuckle). That's one of the reasons we try to maintain the site PG-13. When bad words are used in a post it can result in a business filter blocking the entire site.
Imagine that......an employer that would rather have their employees working than surfing the web.
Blocked from site by my work? Can log in on my phone, but can't log on from my work computer...? This sucks...
