Yes I'm over by Gays mills, the bus was kinda on the Kickapoo river, down stream from me about a mile.
He was kick off the land...?...But had lived there for many years, him is dog, couple of goats and a couple of donkeys....in the bus....LOL.
Was never in it, but can't imagine what it looked like in there.
When ever I see some one that wants to live off the grid....foraging for stuff, he got mad at the farmers in the area for praying the road sides for weeds as he was eating some of them.....This guy has been doing it for a long time....and is kinda Different.
Bus and trailer are gone now, not sure where, be he's still in the area.
Hey I think I recognize that blue bus the homeless guy had. Are you near mid-WI?
Yeah, I know, I guess i consider just about everyone here a friend, and as I don't do the facebox or twit....stuff...didn't really know what this friend thing was.
But hey, it's cool.
I thought we were already friends ,,,, till i looked ...
Thanks John. My Ultra Rifle has not had that problem, nor has my 45/70. I used a lubricant on the ejector and it works a little better, but I will go to graybeards and see if they have any other solutions.
Site is back up, or was, lots of good handi stuff here:
I haven't really had that problem on mine, and there are a lot of different reasons I would guess.
Type of ammo (factory, or reloads), chamber dirty, action loose, weak spring on ejector, etc.
I would try a brass bursh inside the chamber, check spent ammo for any signs of sticking, or bottoming out, maybe?
The see if there is any play after the action is closed, and clean out ejector/and spring with break cleaner.
I was gonna direct you the the graybeards forum in the NEF-H&R section, but it seems to be down right now.
I'll post the sight when it comes back up, Lots of good stuff there for the Handies.
I am having a problem with my son's Handi Rifle. It is not ejecting the shells every time after it is fired. It ejects part of the time, but not all the time. Have you ever heard of a problem like this before?
That's why they call it deer hunting, instead of deer shooting, and there is always tomorrow.
Actually my SIL was hunting over in the Monroe area, don't know exactly where.
He hasn't gotten anything either.
I went out this morning for a couple of hours and only saw squirrells, maybe tomorrow will be better.
