    My Grandfather Retired out of PNB (then USWEST/ATT) after 35 years. Started in the '50s. Kind of got into my blood also. When the AF offered it to me, I took it. Powerlines, but I stll got to climb, and fly a bucket truck.

    Been there, 32yrs with MaBell on the East Coast, made it fine until after I retired. Sure gets rough on the back, knees and any moving parts. Good Luck with yours.
