Best steel for Becker BK-2?

For grins, I'm looking to get a Becker BK-2. It is intended to be a real user and I plan on doing some serious battoning with it. I see versions of it in 1095 steel and 0170-6C steel. Any suggestions on which steel to get? Not worried about rust. Many thanks.
0170-6c is the same steel as carbon V. It isn't a stainless. 1095 is a plain carbon steel while the carbon V is an alloy. They are heat treated to nearly the same hardness and so edge holding would be close but the carbon V would likely be a little tougher.

i have a blade in carbonV and a few in 1095. i think i like the 1095 a little better because its easy to get nice and sharp.
