I have a question on how to sharpen this grind?
1. Do I just sharpen the edge at 20 degrees like a traditional blade?
OR
2. Do I sharpen the entire bevel of the blade?
The reason I ask is I just watched a utube vid. of some guy sharpening the entire bevel....Made me wonder....

The Mora's come with a scandi grind, and not a small beveled edge. To keep that scandi grind you lay the entire beveled area on the stone. You can put a small beveled edge on one, but I prefer to leave it as a scandi grind.

I am with you on this one Crash! I have not been able to put the edge it had back on it that came from the factory. It deluded me for a second, I never had a scandigrind before. I think I get it now, I'll post pics of the results, I have several other mods too sheath and handle.....

For those with questions about what the different grinds look like, this picture may help.

It has it's edge back Crash! I still have some more to do but got the feel for it....I sharpened it scandi at the blade and sonvex towards the belly to tip. Oh yae....I had previously rounded the tip slightly, it got my finger one time tooo many.

The sheath is an old buck sheath I had, I cut it to fit and it fit like a glove...
The turnbuckle in the lanyard hole helps my hand fit such a small knife..

The first pic isn't looking that great...I forgot to mention I had blued the blade so that is the dark spots you see. I 'll get a better one up as I progress.

Taking the scandi grind better as I go...I am using a small Blue Arkansas stone so I can see where a bigger stone would help. Going back and forth to the stone and the hickory staff I am making is working out really well to get it back in shape. I had abused it a bit on purpose as it was my way of seeing if i wanted any more Mora's laying around. Well it passed...at first I had to get used to a smaller knife but as I go I am getting sold...I like the scandi grind now! I had no idea what it was before now!
