Mine shows up on Saturday. That is 3 days from now. It will be both parent in-laws, plus four children. But she isn't the one that annoys me. It is the sister-in-law that we will HAVE to see for Thanksgiving. At least she is staying at my other sister-in-laws house, so I just have to tune them out a few hours on Thursday, and a few on Saturday. I have some good excuses for Friday. My other brother-in-law (the one that is married to my wife's sister who is hosting the "other" sister) and I have become good friends. We are both trying to figure out how to stay away on Friday. :smash: Good luck doug.

You don't look too well. Are you coming down with the flu? :innocent:

That won't work for him, it is at his house. It might be that I will have to abandon a comrade in arms. Good thing I am not a Marine. He is in the Air Force, so I guess it is okay to let him suffer and take one for the team. :sailor:

Oh, come on. Y'all just man-up and say "We're goin' huntin'...and that's that!"
*snicker, snicker*.......and let us know how that works out. :innocent:

The problem with that is we don't want the "other" brother-in-law coming with. He is one of those displaced city boys who thinks he is country. He wears dress cowboy boots in the woods. :confused1: We could always do a Cabelas trip and loose him in the store.

Actually, taking him hunting might just work. It would be much easier to loose him in the actual woods then in a city environment.
And when you can't find him when it's time to go home you'll be faced with a SAR call. That will make the papers. Then all the women folk will feel sorry for him and be pi**ed at you two for having left him in the woods. You know this is a no win.

Oh great now she invited some people from her work over for Thanksgiving. Maybe I'm just a grumpy old man but I don't know these people and sure don't want to have to entertain them. Maybe I should just sit upstairs in the spare bedroom and watch football. My wife....she is way too nice sometimes.

Just eat lots of beans the night before. They won't linger, but the beans may.

You could start talking about wilderness survival. From my experience, they'll either have the same interest and you will have a good time or, they will look at you kind of funny and leave you alone. It's a win-win.
