My daughter's cheer squad had a cheer comp two weekends ago. They placed third and we thought ther chances to advance to the state comp was over.Well we got a call late monday night telling us that we were going to the next level in Springfield Ma.Kaylie and the rest of her squad are stoked to have made the cut.Hopefully they will do well on Sunday when there are a couple of thousand people watching them.

Fantastic, Joe! Please accept and extend my congratulations to all!
Congrats, to them, and you. Good job!
2dumb, that was very magnanimous of you. Especially since you still hold a grudge because you never made the cheerleading squad, even though you tried out every one of your 10 years as a freshman. :innocent:

We are back from our comp weekend and kaylie's team did not place. Her squad did a great job and we are all proud of them. They showed great team spirit by chearing on the other girls when they were were finished with their routines.
I have to give all the girls and squads(27) a round of applause on their behavior over the weekend. All squads cheered each other on when their routines were over. The parents of some of these girls should have been paying attention.

There's always next time! You can be proud the team showed such good grace. As for pushy parents..... they should be banned, I've seen many a child's ability ruined by that sort.
Please tell the girls Winnie says well done!

Good job! It's not about winning, it's about CHEERING!
My 16-yr-old daughter was a cheerleader since 2nd grade until last year, both club and school. We went to so many comps. Her club squad took nationals one year. Enjoy, these are fun times!
