Took a hike a few days with my girlfriend's dad to the top of House Mountain in Knox County, TN. At the top of the mountain I asked his blessing to ask his daughter to marry me and he gave it.

Frig'n awesome dude, congrats ya have won dad over and I just know she will say yes.
Great way to ask pops for her hand, btw good you to have some things in common.

Officer - after he gave me permission to marry his little girl he was just so happy. He was dancing around singing a little song. Then out of the blue, he trips and falls down the mountain. Weirdest thing......

When I said yes he yelled, "I can fly!!!" and launched himself off the ledge. He flew...for about six seconds.....straight down.

When my son inlaw asked for my daughters hand in marriage I said holly smoke, you need a sympathy card every Xmas. LOL

Thanks all! I am asking her this Sunday after our trip to Mt. Cammerer firetower. It's a 10 - 12 mile loop. Should be fun!

Roar - head out on the trail the day before - scout out a good spot for it - and leave a proposal for her along the trail. Don't make it so that any hiker can find it accidentally (wouldn't want that brother and sister to.......never mind)
