Exploding Earth raised an interesting topic. All-important fire. There are different types of fires with different uses. A "council" fire is different than a signal fire, for example. Any thoughts on this topic?

FIRE!
Imagine the modern man, in most of Europe, US, china, Australia, do not use fire at all,, maybe to light there cigarettes, or crack pipe, but the rest rely on electric.
electric for cooking, sterilizing, heating, drying, lighting, hot water, ect..
and in lots of city's over the world, fire in most forms is illegal.
imagine illegal!
for example; a very cold city's like Denver Colorado have large part of the year,, no burn time,,because the pollution is so bad.
so the people do not collect any forms of fuel for fire. And why would they?

with suck a lack of attachment, to such a very important element of survival, i really do not have much hope for the human race, personally.
they have lost touch with fire, and what life is really founded on, in only 100 years.
