Woke up this morning and opened the blinds, to my dismay there was snow on the mountains. Pretty far down too. Fairly cold and rainy today, guess fall is over.....bring on winter. :(

Man, it's been weird here, but we're getting better weather now than we had most of the summer. I've had snow this early in the year in past years, but this fall is being fabulous, the leaves are barely turning, there's about 3,000 geese forming up on the local lake for the big flight.

I feel for ya, Doug, I know I'm getting mine soon enough. Probably get hit with a blizzard next month when I'm out moose hunting or something.

Temps in the low 80's. (Lows in the upper 60's.)

Yeah the leaves here are dropping like mad. Last year there was snow on the ground in early October, I was just hoping it would come later this year. Spring in AK May-June (just a tad warmer than winter)..Summer in AK June-Aug (if you can call it a summer)..Fall in AK Aug-Sep (again just a tad warmer than winter)..Winter in AK Oct-Apr (waay too cold, waay to much snow and waay to dark) But I'm not bitter...I promise. :) Just 2 more winters.....that's all I have.....:(

It never ceases to astonish me the different weather you guys get from state-to-state. I suppose it's all to do with lattitudes(sp?) and topography.(no I don't really know what I'm talking about) But I find it interesting just the same.
The nights are getting shorter and a lot cooler here, winter doesn't really get going til late Oct and we rarely get snow before christmas. Last year was unusual though, we had two lots of snowfall in Oct/Nov. Then in feb we had sticky snow for about 3 weeks or more.

You got good weather we got rain and I am waiting for a steel building to be delivered from NC. Guess it's too hot to head north for them. So wet I can't get the concrete poured, warm but rain for months and a very strange year.

The Midwest is in the middle fall. A very few trees are turning as is poison ivy. Garden plants are starting to wrap up their season with squash vines and tomatoes starting to tell the tale. Good temps this time of year.

The weatherman just said that we have a front coming through tomorrow. The low tonight is supposed to be about 70°, but the high tomorrow is only supposed to be 75°. I hope he's right. I'm ready for some cooler temps.....today was right at 90°...and muggy.:sneaky2:
