I read about The Road in Nat Geo Explorer magazine. I checked it out of the library (have not read it yet), and noticed it was in Oprah's Book Club. It'll be interesting if I finish it. Although the author, Cormac McCarthy also wrote No Country for Old Men, which I am pretty sure, is not on Oprah's list! I'll let you know how it is.

The Road is easily one of the top 5 best books I've ever read.
