Anyone know where to find one of these other than ordering online? Walgreens perhaps?
I've tried several medical supply places around town (Little Rock), the ones who supply EMT's and such, and the people on the phone don't even know what it is. I thought this was a pretty common item.

I haven't looked for them locally. I have priced them on-line though. I am upgrading the first aid kits that came with our CERT bags. If I find them in my travels, I'll let you know.
If you have a Red Cross center near you, try them. They use Sam Splints in Red Cross training now. They might have them for sale, too.
I bought mine at REI when I lived in Seattle.

Called the Red Cross center and they don't have them either.
backstory: I want to find it locally because I can't order it in online without a big hassle from my wife. I can go into a hardware store and buy $200 worth of crap and she won't say a word. But if I buy a $10 hammer online, for some reason, she is has a running fit about it. I don't know why. Maybe because she's a woman. Go figure. I'll keep looking.

And I can see the urgency where you may be needing them soon.
Order his and hers splints. How can she argue if you order something for your too?

Try contacting your local EMS/ ambulance service or even the local fire/rescue. If you live in a fairly large city chances are they may have a local supplier you can go to. Odds are places like walgreens and the like won't carry them. But if you have a local mom and pop pharmacy they might order them for you.
