I cast a bunch of bullet for my 45/70 guide gun the other day. since Marlins use the microgroove barrels, it shoots better with slightly oversize bullets. I find .460 is best.

Anyway, I was running short of Wheel Weights, so I stopped by a truck stop that usually had some.

He gave me a couple of pounds.
I took them back, cast them and loaded the bullets with a full dose of Trail Boss Powder.

When I went to the range they shot to the left. Not a little, but like 10 feet to the left. I checked them with a mic..just fine, weighed them, just fine, checked the hardness, Etc. The darn things were perfect.

I set them aside but when I passed the Truck Stop today, I stopped and told the tire fellow what happened. He scratched his head and then he almost jumped up and down....

Damn, I didn't think about it, but those weights came off a truck from California...mix em with an equal amount of Wheel Weights from Arkansas and you'll be shooting dead on target.
