Are you buying the right Mainstay Food Ration Bar?

There are two very different types of Mainstay Food Ration Bars. AS STUPID AS IT MAY BE, the manufacturer, Mainstay Products, Inc., has chosen to package them in virtually IDENTICAL WRAPPERS! Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!

If you use this product, make sure you are purchasing the one you actually want.

Read the information below and click on the link for more information.

"One of the developing programs at Survivor was to develop our food product to accommodate the needs of people under extreme needs.

To accommodate on this program, we have developed two different food programs.

(Both packages look alike, but are different!)

Jeeze....Take it easy on the MBAs, will ya?

I assume you have both so what's the difference in packaging? If I have both in hand, how do I tell the difference?

They taste okay, Crash - like a mild lemon flavored biscuit. Not objectionable at all..........

Not bad with a glass of milk. :innocent:

Rick, to my knowledge, I only have the "emergency" bars, not the long term ones. I guess that's the point. The audio link in the ad says that they look "exactly alike." :sneaky2: If that's the case, who knows what you're actually getting depending on where you order from?

The only difference I can discern from the examples is the amount of protein. Perhaps that's the key to knowing which is which. (shrug)

Having two types of bars is a good idea, but they need some easy way to differentiate between the two. I understand making them look similar to reduce costs, but why not different labels?
