I was talking to another shooter today. We were discussing how our eyesight has changed since we became diabetic.
I've been thinking about setting something up on Old Va, that deals with diabetic shooting, outdoor living and even cooking game.
Right now, I'm just trying to get a feel for how many of us there are.
I'm not but you bring an excellent subject to the table. One that has to be included in any Bug Out/Bug In plans.

I'll be honest, it's a major issue with me. I control it with diet alone and according to my Doctor, I houldn't. I have a very limited menu and it includes no starch or sugar at all.
NO rice or corn or potatoes ...basically, I live on meat, egg and green beans. I can get away with a few Brussels sprouts and asparagus.
Kinda tough for a bug out kit.

First off let me say I am neither a doctor nor a professional herbalist, most of what I know has been learned on this subject has been from folk remedies, reading books, or online. That being said theres a weed despised by many a lawn owner in the U.S. for it hardiness and trouble to extinguish, yet the dandelion is also a valuable food and medical suppliment. If you have diabeties you might like to read up on dandelion root, dandelion greens and tea as it relates to maintaining sugars and promoting natural insulin production. This is a seed stock I have in my stores that my lawn loving neighbors don't know about...LOL If it comes down to tshtf then many a lawn will be seeded and I'll happily volunteer to remove the intrusive weeds.
simply google dandelion, insulin, and diabeties for more info.
