I have to say that this is my favorite time of year. Nothing better than sitting in front of the TV with a beer and some chips watching my favorite team.....COLTS!!!!! Only problem is I don't get to see them play waaaay up here. Wish I could watch them free online. :(

Doug, A long time ago Alaska had no live TV. All regular programs were shown one week late, and were shipped up in film reels in cans. Cans would get lost, and sometimes the film would break. The evening news we got only one day late. All the Football was a week late. Mostly we listened to music out of Russia during the day. And at night we could get Wolfman Jack and Rock & Roll, out of L.A.

The very first same day broadcast ever in Alaska was not the news, but the Super Bowl, even then it was delayed because they had to edit all the commercials, because the advertisers companies did not exist in Alaska.
