Hey all, borrowed a Kabar short tanto plain edge knife from a friend of mine yesterday for a fishing/shorelunch trip. I processed most of the wood for my fire with my hatchet but did do some battoning with some of the smaller pieces (2-3") It worked well, I had really no complaints about it. I generally try to process all my fire wood with a hatchet but the stoutness of this blade made me want to try it. I also gutted 2 channel cats and carved a pot hook with the knife. It did everything I wanted with ease. If it were mine, the only thing I would change is the sheath, I didnt care for the leather one, seemed cheap. This is kind of a weak review but Im not sure what else to say....good knife, good price.

Oh just thought of something else, checked its edge when I got back, still sharp, touched up on the sharpmaker for 30 seconds, shaved my arm...nice.
