I recently bought a Mora 780 and I'm wondering what stone I should use to sharpen it. I have no knowledge on the grits and that type of thing.

I have a diamond. Never tried the Arkansas, but I imagine it's pretty darn good, too.

a sharpener is about as good as it's materials and your skill in using it.

one of my personal favorites is a tungsten carbide sharpener called the speedy sharp. you can find them about $10US on ebay. as long as you use it right, you can do just about any blade and it's small. it's quick for touch-ups.

I would look for youtube videos that explain the process. I have found a few. One is by the guy at Purgatory Iron Works, and Ray Mears does a good one as well.
