A federal appeals court on September 24 will hear a high-profile gun rights case that's a leading candidate to end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Let's see if they can read and understand English.

I hold out no great hope that the 9th circuit (often referred to as circus) court of appeals will get it right. It would be nice, but I hold out no great hope.

Sadly, her stance on the Second Amendment is well known, and at odds with what IMO the Founders intended.

Actually I am surprised it has taken this long. (patiently sharpening pitch fork)

"Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people's liberty teeth and the keystone under independence. The rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable. The very atmosphere of firearms anywhere and everywhere restrains evil interference - they deserve a place of honor with all that is good."

- George Washington

So this is 2 weeks away.
I still cant find ammo in most sizes up here and its pissing me off.
Anyone interested in starting an Ammo company?
It might be months before they can socialize ammo manufacturers.

Good post Ken.
Yeah, there's lots going on now and it always makes me nervous. VCDL in Va. which I'm a member of, actually spearheaded Heller and the NRA jumped in after the fact.

Scared me silly waiting for it. There are other cases headed to state Supreme courts now.

I'm not sure it will all ever get settled.

Peter, there's this thing in Law that we refer to as the "Plain English Doctrine." I guess they don't teach that in the schools that many judges attended.

Tell me about it. My father and brother are lawyers. I married the daughter of a Va. Appeals Court Judge. I worked for the state for years, then the Feds for about 5 years.

I'm a rural affairs lobbyist...(everyone needs a hobby) and after all that you'd think I was immune. I am still stunned at just how blind Justice is (and stupid AKA stoopid, too),
