I can understand you walking around in circles, you gotta turn alllll the way around to see anything that might be behind you. Don't wag your tail you'll spin until your dizzy trying to figure out what's going on.

When I was undergoing land nav training, an old NCO (well he was old to me then) told me there are a few reasons for this to happen, e.g. your body (one leg longer than the other, limp, ruck load not centered, etc.) and terrain.
