I have an astronomy outing/camping weekend coming up in two weeks.I was thinking of making a paracord belt for the trip.I have made a few bracelets but never a belt.Is there a formula for how much rope is needed.I was thinking of something simple like one foot of rope for each inch of finished belt. But I dont know if that is too much or too little.I'd hate for it to be too little.

Heck this may not even be a good idea. After tying the belt it could be too stiff.Any thoughts?

I typed in PARACORD BELT into Google.

Stormdrane is a good source for anything paracord.

Sorry to dredge up an older post but I remembered this one and happened to come across a great tutorial for a real survival belt. I think this is the same design Ranger Rick sells on his site.

I've used the braid that Rick linked to. The sling I made is 38" long and used 70 feet of paracord. the bracelet used about 16 feet.
