Any of you ever watch the show "Family Guy?" The show with a lead character that sorta' looks like Rick and centers on a dysfunctional family in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island?
Well, a quahog http://seagrant.gso.uri.edu/factsheets/fsquahog.html is actually a large hard-shell clam native to this area. We use 'em in chowder, and clam cakes, and we stuff 'em, too.

It just so happens that MY MOM makes the best stuffed quahogs in the whole-wide-world! And it just so happens that my Mom just stopped by real quick and dropped off a dozen stuffies for me.
Can you say "appetizer?" (Actually a meal in itself.)
I gotta' fly now, because my sweetie will be home early (8:30) and we're grilling up a couple of Porterhouses, right after I chow down on a couple of stuffies!
G'night, everybody!
